Lawson Announces Partnership with SEEBURGER AG
Lawson and SEEBURGER jointly offer solutions to help optimize, electronic data interchange
HILDEN, Germany (November 07, 2007) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced a new partnership with SEEBURGER AG, a leading provider of business integration solutions. Lawson chose SEEBURGER as a business partner to support customers with their Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) implementations, to help optimize the exchange of data between Lawson applications and other systems. Lawson and SEEBURGER have collaborated in the past, working on projects for existing customers such as fashion industry company Schiesser.
Prior to the SEEBURGER partnership, Axway, an Enterprise Application integration (EAI) solution provider, was the only Lawson EDI partner. With SEEBURGER, Lawson customers now have more choice of EDI products. The primary advantage of EDI is high speed data communication along with the elimination of human interaction, helping to significantly reduce the risk of errors. As an example, reductions in errors during the transmission of orders between suppliers and customers can result in much more accurate order fulfillment. Lawson customers using Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System applications benefit through the connectivity between SEEBURGER’s solutions and the Lawson M3 applications.
“Since this EDI solution was first implemented in June 2004, the Lawson and SEEBURGER solution has helped us achieve great results such as the optimization of our daily electronic data management, said Dr. David Frink, CIO, Schiesser Group. “The Lawson and SEEBURGER EDI combination proved to be ideal for our needs.
The global partnership offers a strong EDI solution to the industries that Lawson serves, such as fashion manufacturing and others that are already the largest EDI users today.
