Polish Margarine Supplier Goes Live on Lawson M3 Suite
Implementation marks another success for Lawson in the food and beverage industry
Warsaw, Poland (May 24, 2007) – Lawson Software in Poland today announced it has successfully gone live with Lawson M3 at leading margarine and vegetable oil supplier ZPT (Zaklady Przemyslu Tluszczowego w Warszawie SA). The solution will support up to 60 users in the company’s key operational areas such as production, supply chain, sales, planning, controlling and finances.
ZPT, which has recently become a part of the Bunge group, expects to benefit from a more effective and efficient business management process by utilizing the Lawson M3 solution.
“With the Lawson M3 suite, we will be able to react faster to fluctuations in the market, streamline our business processes and provide a better service for our clients. We are already benefiting from improved stock control, cutting the supply chain cost, enabling us to take full advantage of our production potential and operate more effectively, said Andrzej Konefal, financial director ZPT w Warszawie.
“The deal emphasizes the success of Lawson’s long term industry focus and understanding of the food and beverage industry, particularly in the current climate where businesses are under increased pressure to deliver more for less with reduced resources and budgets, says Piotr Michalak, country manager for Lawson Poland. “Lawson believes many food and beverage organizations – which rely on the efficiency of high-speed production – could significantly reduce downtime and likely production losses with more adequate planning.
ZPT is the 75th company on the Polish market to use Lawson solutions. It is the number two manufacturer of consumer margarines and third in the market for packaged oils in Poland. The company’s most well known brands are: Smakowita, Vita, Nova, Maryna, Maslo Roslinne MR together with its vegetable oils Bartek and Oliwier. Lawson M3 will help to create a competitive edge to these these brands in the packaged oils market.
Warsaw-based ZPT is an enterprise with a long track-record. The company was established in 1951 but it originated from a small pressing plant established in1940. ZPT employs around 780 people in the region.
ZPT w Warszawie SA has recently become a part of ZT Kruszwica SA owned by the international company Bunge. Lawson solutions are also being used by 210 users at Kruszwica, a leading Polish margarine and consumer oils producer.
