Leading Finnish HVAC Wholesaler LVI-Dahl Implements Lawson ERP System
Company opts for Lawson M3 system to help streamline its financial processes
HELSINKI (August 18, 2008) – Leading Finnish HVAC wholesaler LVI-Dahl is the first Lawson customer in Finland to implement the latest Lawson M3 7.1 applications, which are part of the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System. The Lawson system is designed to help LVI-Dahl streamline its financial administration processes at group level.
The Dahl Group is the largest Scandinavian wholesaler of HVAC, public utility, and industrial pipe products. Dahl is a market leader in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Poland. The company operates in some 260 locations in Northern Europe and is part of the French Saint-Gobain Group.
The most important criterion LVI-Dahl set for its new ERP system was the ability to support internationalization and integration. The company needed an ERP system to help managers and executives address challenges associated with ongoing changes in its business. LVI-Dahl also wanted to align its operations with those of the international Saint-Gobain group. The Lawson M3 system was chosen as the premium solution in meeting these targets.
“The Lawson ERP system will help us work in a more up-to-date and unified way,” says Jukka Silander, IT manager for LVI-Dahl. “The system can help us reduce manual work, which also minimises the margin of error. When all parts of the group are integrated into the same system, financial reporting can become faster and more efficient.”
The latest Lawson M3 7.1 applications can help link orders to an organization’s supply chain and include enhanced industry-specific functionality and simpler version updates.
“This is a perfect example of a system project which is, in fact, primarily a business-driven project,” said Kim Trapp, Manager, Solution Design of Lawson in Finland. “LVI-Dahl is a wholesaler that operates in many regions. Lawson M3 7.1 is well-suited to this challenging and decentralized environment.”
The project completed for LVI-Dahl included the Lawson M3 system implementation, system development and support. LVI-Dahl is part of the French Saint-Gobain Group which uses the Lawson M3 solution in the other Nordic countries.
