Germany’s Largest Furniture Discounter, ROLLER, Chooses Lawson M3 7.1 Applications
ERP applications from Lawson Software to help ROLLER improve efficiency and data quality
ST. PAUL, Minn. (July 29, 2008) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that Germany-based ROLLER GmbH & Co KG has signed a contract to implement the latest Lawson M3 7.1 applications, which are part of the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System. ROLLER selected Lawson to help it streamline distribution operations and enhance customer service. The Lawson applications will be deployed in all ROLLER locations and branches. The contract was signed during Lawson’s fourth quarter fiscal year 2008, which ended on May 31, 2008.[

With almost 100 outlets in Germany, ROLLER is the country’s largest home furnishing discounter. The company opened eight new outlets last year alone. ROLLER opted for a new ERP system because its legacy applications could no longer support the company’s growth. The company sought an integrated solution with the advanced functionality offered through the latest Lawson applications.
ROLLER selected the Lawson solution over competing offerings from other software providers because of Lawson’s industry-specific focus and its distribution-specific capabilities. Additionally, ROLLER noted that the Lawson solution could address some of its own unique requirements.
“We were immediately impressed by the expertise the Lawson consultants demonstrated relating to our industry,” said Manfred Feulner, management spokesman at ROLLER GmbH & Co KG. “The new Lawson solution will help us improve our business processes and consequently the quality of our data.”
“We are delighted that we can now add a well known company such as ROLLER to our client base in Europe,” said Friedbert Schuh, general manager, Central Europe for Lawson. “We feel confident that our solution and industry expertise will help support ROLLER’s growth plans.”
