CCS Selects Lawson to Help Gear up Its Competitiveness
Swedish pharmaceutical company implements Lawson Advanced Production Planner to meet increasing and changing customer demand
Stockholm, Sweden (January 27, 2009) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that Clean Chemical Sweden AB (CCS) has signed a contract for Advanced Production Planner (APP), which is part of the Lawson M3 Supply Chain Management Suite. Advanced Production Planner is a powerful decision support tool for production planning and the scheduling of manufacturing orders. It takes into consideration the increasing demand for finite product capacity constraints and material flow from raw materials to finished products. The contract was signed during Lawson’s second quarter of fiscal 2009, which ended Nov. 30, 2008.
CCS is a Sweden-based pharmaceutical company and part of C.B. Fleet (based in the U.S.A.) that in addition to pharmaceuticals, manufactures products for skin and dental care. CCS products are being sold in pharmacies across the Nordic region and a number of additional markets in Europe. Consequently, CCS has a complex supply chain and the new system will help the company coordinate processes, which will help it meet current and future business challenges more efficiently.
