Epicor Selected to Deliver Manufacturing Technologies

Epicor Software Corporation recently announced that ELE Advanced Technologies has selected their 9 next-generation enterprise resource planning solution. The Epicor solution will replace ELE Advanced Technologies’ aging business systems and will give them a stronger production process.

ELE Advanced Technologies has leveraged enterprise software in its finance operations for the past 20 years but has had limited functionality to support production and manufacturing operations.

Throughout this time, this process has led to numerous spreadsheets being developed to manage production schedules, inventory, and invoicing, among other things. That approach helped to create inaccuracies between spreadsheets and created silos of information that hampered agility.

Financial Director at ELE Advanced Technologies, Martin Harrison, said they had to make a change that would give them the robust system they needed to drive the business forward.

Harrison believes that accurate and timely delivery of financial information is critical to any business and that concurrent spreadsheets can definitely lead to operational inefficiencies.

Keying inaccuracies were also a challenge when data needed to be entered several times to achieve a task. One example of this is when an invoice needed multiple data entries in different systems.

In using Epicor as its sole business and manufacturing system, ELE Advanced Technologies believes it will gain a more prosperous production environment which will then help the management team develop the business further.
