Channel Partners Help Lawson Software Drive Growth and Customer Satisfaction
Channel partner ecosystem expands companyâs global footprint
Barcelona, Spain (September 17, 2008) – This week at its annual EMEA channel partner conference in Spain, Lawson Software discussed the success and opportunity available through its global channel partner program. Lawson relies on channel partners to supplement Lawson’s resources or make Lawson available in specific geographic regions where Lawson may not have a corporate presence. In addition, partners provide additional value to Lawson’s key vertical markets–including healthcare, food production, distribution, fashion, equipment service management and the public sector–with the partner’s own industry-specific expertise. During Lawson’s 2008 fiscal year, which ended May 31, 2008, channel partners across the globe increased their contribution to Lawson revenues compared to fiscal year 2007, with the majority of the additional revenue coming from EMEA. In addition, channel partners took the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System into new regions and geographies, including India, Turkey, Czech Republic and Brazil. Channel partners also helped increase the reach of the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System in the United States.
“Many of Lawson’s new customers in the last year came through our channel partner community, said Brian Sterrett, vice president, channels and partners for Lawson. “In addition to supporting our growth strategy, channel partners also make it easier for Lawson’s multi-national customers to find certified implementation resources to help them deploy Lawson in their locations around the world.
Lawson requires that each of its channel partners have a unique mix of enterprise software, vertical industry and regional expertise. Given these high standards, Lawson selectively chooses new companies to join its channel partner community then provides them with a high level of support, access and information to ultimately help Lawson customers achieve measurable business benefits with their Lawson system.
Al Foah, based in the United Arab Emirates, has benefited from the Lawson channel partner community. Al Foah, is the largest date farm in the world, producing organically-raised dates from more than 62,000 palm trees. Al Foah worked with Accentia Middle East, Lawson’s regional channel partner in the Middle East, to implement Lawson QuickStep Food and Beverage.
“We needed a software system that would help us address the specific challenges found in food production, said Mr. Eyad Saleh, IT manager for Al Foah. “Accentia Middle East not only understands the Lawson enterprise software system, but it also understands our specific business challenges here in the United Arab Emirates and in the date farming industry.
“Al Foah’s implementation of the Lawson system is a good example of how our channel partners can bring value to our customers, added Sterrett. “It also demonstrates how our channel partners can open new geographies for Lawson as we extend our global reach.
