Lawson Software Named to 2007 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 List
Annual list honors software and service providers that provide technology solutions designed around supply chain challenges
ST. PAUL, Minn. (August 08, 2007) – Business magazine Supply & Demand Chain Executive named Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) as part of its 2007 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100, an annual listing of software and service providers, consultants and other organizations at the forefront of transforming the diverse functions included in companies’ supply chains.
The judging committee included members of the magazine’s editorial staff and editorial advisory board. Judges selected this year’s final list from provider and end user nominations that were based on how each nominated company helps its customers address their primary supply chain challenges. Other judging criteria included:
The best practices a nominated company’s customers are implementing to meet their supply chain challenges; and
The return on investment and competitive advantage those customers achieved by taking advantage of the nominated company’s software or services
“Inclusion on this list highlights Lawson’s global supply chain expertise across diverse service, retail and manufacturing industries,” said Peter Quinn, regional marketing director for Lawson M3. “This kind of recognition helps validate Lawson’s position as a leader and innovator in supply chain software and services.”
Lawson is included on the “100” list due to a variety of supply and demand chain products. For example, the Lawson M3 Supply Chain Management suite combines sophisticated planning and optimization tools with highly configurable warehouse execution functions, advanced procurement applications, and comprehensive fulfillment options. It helps bring sophisticated functionality normally associated with costly best-of-breed solutions within reach of medium-sized enterprises. The Lawson M3 Supply Chain Management suite gives users tools that can help them gain competitive advantage through optimized use of resources and inventories – in a manner designed to be simpler to use.
In addition, the Supply Chain Connected Orders application, part of the Lawson M3 Supply Chain Management suite, provides a new way to keep the different related orders in supply chain linked. This capability gives users greater visibility into their entire supply chain and greater ability to quickly react to changes in orders. It also helps automate the process of making changes to orders while enabling users to check the status of a linked order chain and determine whether the delivery terms can be met.
