Lawson Software Receives Awards for ERP Innovation and Manufacturing Functionality
Lawson received awards in two categories: ERP Innovation and Repetitive Production.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (December 16, 2008) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced it recently received two awards for the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System. The awards were presented jointly by the Centre of Enterprise Research at the University of Potsdam, Germany and ERP Management magazine. Lawson received awards in two categories: ERP Innovation and Repetitive Production. An industry-focused panel comprised of industry experts, scientists, professionals and members of the media made the final award selections. The panel reviewed the participating organizations prior to the event, focusing on multiple categories: Non-repetitive production, process industry, repetitive production, trade and services. ERP Systems were judged on the following criteria: technology, integration ability, implementation methodology, customer benefit, user friendliness, support and marketing.
“The things that impressed us most about Lawson were its technological reorientation and its innovative Smart Office user interface,” explained Helmuth Gumbel, senior research director for Strategy Partners and a member of the judging panel.
“The fact that we received two awards at once in this prestigious competition is validation of our industry-specific focus and our overall innovation in enterprise software,” said Friedbert Schuh, general manager for Lawson in Central Europe. “These awards are a tribute to our efforts to make our customers stronger and help them achieve greater business success through innovation and strong software functionality.”
