Lawson Software Wins Industry Award for its Manufacturing-Specific Enterprise Software Solution
SINGAPORE (March 19, 2008) – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced it received a key award during the Fourth Annual Conference of IT Applications in China, which was held in Beijing in January. This year’s conference was jointly sponsored by the China Software Industry Association and erpworld.net.
Lawson Software, Inc., a U.S.-based global provider of enterprise software solutions, was among the companies participating in the event. The Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System, an enterprise software solution for companies in manufacturing and distribution, received the 2007 Best ERP Solution for the Furniture Industry in China award.
Designed specifically around the needs of manufacturing firms, the Lawson M3 solution is used by companies in process and discrete manufacturing, including general manufacturing as well as fashion and food and beverage production. It helps companies address their core business challenges, including production, planning, supply chain, logistics and financial management. The company also offers Lawson Business Intelligence, which offers language support in simplified Chinese.
In 2007, Lawson secured contracts with several renowned China-based companies, including Shengxing Furniture and Huari Furniture, which selected the Lawson M3 solution. By combining the company’s industry-specific product offering with the ability to meet specific needs of companies in China, the Lawson solution provides technology solutions that can help optimize business processes, which can ultimately help companies reduce costs, improve quality and increase revenue.
