PEER Group Delivers Manufacturing Automation to Brooks
PEER Group recently announced that is has become a Brooks Solution Provider, serving North America and Europe.
PEER Group provides software integration of Brooks Automation’s atmospheric and vacuum systems to semiconductor and other high-technology equipment suppliers. They do so using industry-leading tool automation, connectivity and testing products.
As part of the agreement, PEER Group and Brooks will act as independent suppliers to the customer, but will also work cooperatively to ensure delivery of timely, high-quality solutions.
Brooks uses highly selective processes for its Solution Provider program. They only choose companies with extensive experience in successfully integrating Brook’s manufacturing products.
Senior Product Marketing Manager for Brooks, Anthony Robson, says they have been working with PEER Group for six years and their customers have been very satisfied with their performance.
PEER Group is a supplier of SECS/GEM connectivity products and services to the high-tech equipment supplier market. They have over 125 OEM customers and in 2003 were the first supplier to introduce a comprehensive tool automation software product called PEER Tool Orchestrator.
The Tool Orchestrator went on to win the Semiconductor International’s prestigious Best Product Award for 2007 and is now installed on over 35 equipment models and runs successfully in production in over 30 factories worldwide.
PEER Group will receive advanced training on new Brook’s products and upgrades and will have access to Brooks engineering for rapid problem solving.
CEO of PEER Group, Mike Kropp, says when one of their customers chooses Brooks as their automation hardware platform, they are confident they can complete the integration quickly and efficiently.
