Zollner Elektronik Expands Manufacturing Capabilities with Siemens Solution
Siemens PLM Software recently announced that Zollner Elektronik AG is standardizing on Tecnomatix software as its digital manufacturing and factory automation solution to further shorten project timelines, reduce costs and help minimize risks by evaluating possible variants.
Zollner decided to expand the use of Tecnomatix based on intense tests over the last 15 months on completed planning projects that were considered a success.
As an EMS provider, Zollner uses its production lines to manufacture components, modules, devices or complete systems to order. They serve a wide range of industries, including industrial electronics, automotive, office electronics and data technology.
Zollner covers the entire value chain for its customers, beginning with planning and development through prototype and series production, all the way to various post-production services.
Zollner now plans to roll out Tecnomatix as its enterprise wide standard factory planning system to further leverage the solution’s capabilities for providing precise, flexible planning as well as the analysis and management of production processes.
The team leader for process planning at Zollner, Alios Mahr, says Tecnomatix not only ensures that their production processes run more efficiently, but also allows them to use one software platform from the customer’s idea to SoP and during the run-out.
Mahr says as a result a knowledge-database platform evolves across the company, making it possible to offer the best solution according to customer demands.
Zollner Elektronik AG is an electronic service company and has over four decades of success in the business. They are based in Zandt, Bavaria and have over 15 international locations.
Siemens PLM Software is a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and is a provider of product lifecycle management software and services with more than 69,500 customers worldwide. They are headquartered in Plano, Texas.
